Fund research and development in education

Almost no industry spends as little on research and development as the education industry. Supercomputing and Computational Thinking

I am at the Supercomputing Conference in Seattle , Washington. I am a K-12 teacher. There are rich resources and ideas here that need to be disseminated in classrooms. Some of that work is that of Dr. Robert Panoff at www.shodor.org, and there are many components to his work. Who are the best Maths teachers? Why? How do we get them?

As a principal in a Victorian government school, I have a high degree of autonomy with respect to recruiting staff. National Online Curriculum/Assessment Marketplace

It's not enough to have disjointed Open Educational Resources floating free around the internet. We need a national online curriculum marketplace that includes readings, simulations, learning games, and most importantly, assessments that actually lead to credits or certification.
